Target's 2024 Project of the Year: A Star Achievement

The Project that made me proud was the design supply and fit out off Coventry City FC  new training ground kitchen at Sky Blue Lodge  for our clients which required an ultra fast turn around.

The Target team all pulled together from start to finish designing an all electric kitchen to fit into a newly refurbished training ground facility to provide professional footballs and staff with high end healthy cuisine without deep fat fryers in the kitchen.

Target designed and built the specialist  free standing ventilation air supply and extract system with Island extract for front of house open kitchen use in a low ceiling dining area that incorporated  electrical service manifold with service switchgear all serviced from a new Schneider distribution board with RCD and  Surge protection devices to protect  people and equipment  featuring the latest sophisticated induction range cooker generators used by Target and the Houno InvoQ range of the latest world leading  energy saving easy to use hybrid steam combination ovens.

A new dishwashing system including steam condensate  heat recovery system was installed with Target Tabling and sinks to provide pot wash and dishwashing facilities with special tray clearing and waste sorting and recycling station used by the players.

Adande drawer refrigeration that can be switched form fridge to freezer  provides ultimate flexibility for chilled and frozen storage as different needs and demands determine.

Up cycled front counters were reconfigured with a front of house cooking station for  cook to order items providing a unique service offer for the caterers Dynamo Dining at the Sky Blue Lodge.

The kitchen project encountered site issues that were expertly overcome by Targets fabrication team with some smart thinking and modifications when unexpected structural support steelwork impacted on original design proposals. No hold ups or delays enabled the project to be complete on time and on budget with full user training provided by equipment manufactures on site to ensure a smooth hand over of the kitchen to fully trained chefs to enjoy an amazing kitchen transformation.

The project was run and managed by Targets Charlotte Pedrette as probably one of the slickest operations to date  with special equipment design led by Nicola Pedrette and her team.

Onwards and upwards to the next prestigious project to make Target proud of designing, supplying and fitting.
